| Tommy married Erica on March 3, 2008 in Lawton, Oklahoma. |
| Tommy became a father on March 21, 2008 to Victoria LyAnne Myers. He told me before she was born that he had never loved anything so much that he had never even laid eyes on..That was the first sign that my son had become a man. |
| With the certainty of deployment looming before them, Tommy and Erica focused on building their life and their family. The strength they needed to face a year apart was in their love for one another and for their child. |
| Our soldier faced a difficult time away from his family and it was a great sacrifice for him. Spring 2009 found him home for a two week visit. The visit was short, sweet, and made it even harder to leave his family for a second time. |
| Before his daughter's first Christmas, Tommy deployed to Iraq and then moved on to Afghanistan for a 12 month tour of duty. |
| Home again at last, Tommy celebrated Christmas with the family in Texas before taking his family to Cleveland, Ohio for welding school. |
| We celebrated Christmas early so that we could have time together before he deployed. |
